Medical Marijuana.



Many potentially beneficial effects have been reported by Medical
Marijuana Users who suffer from ailments
such as AIDS,
Cancer, and Glaucoma. Obviously smoking Marijuana does not cure these
illnesses,
but it can help improve the sufferers quality of life.
Marijuana use has the ability to increase a person's appetite and
relieve nausea.
Which in turn allows the patient to regain weight.


The Institute of Medicine's 1999 report on medical marijuana stated,
"The accumulated data indicate a potential therapeutic value for
cannabinoid drugs, particularly for symptoms such as pain relief,
control of nausea and vomiting, and appetite stimulation."

We all know that Cannabis/Marijuana is kept illegal due to the lies
spread by our Governments.
A misinformed public is impressed easily by the so called 'War On
Drugs'. But the reasons they give for keeping it illegal
bare no relevance to a terminally ill person. Perhaps MJ does make you
lazy, listen to reggae and make you eat too much fast food.
But it can also alleviate pain and improve the last months of someone's
life. Anything that can improve someone's quality of life
should be researched further.


Legal Medical Marijuana use was very common in the USA for child birth,
tooth ache and chronic pain up until
1942. Its use was essentially outlawed by '
The Marihuana Tax Act' of 1937,
which made it illegal to prescribe Marijuana in the United States.
Currently Marijuana is medically available in 12 US states to treat
conditions/symptoms it has indicated effectiveness with. The UK is even
more backward on this issue. Maybe
because people like Jack Straw, Tony Blair and Lord Irvine have to look tough on drugs after their children have featured in the press for drug
abuse/use/dealing and yobbish behaviour.
